"This book is jawdropping, amazing and indescribable. Ive included 4 photos of the front and back cover as well as one of the inside covering and an example of one of the pages but this book is just simply stunning in person. Lots of the people who worked on these movies fill in the pages with explanations of how decisions were made about design and how they worked on aging characters etc. There’s even a foldout page of the hidden world that I love."

The Art of How to Train Your Dragon The Hidden World Linda Sunshine Iain Morris Books Reviews
- Not only is the artwork in this book beautiful, but they balanced the content between humans, dragons and environment quite well. I loved the first book, which was dragon heavy including idea sketches for different dragon types. The second book felt like it had too many pages dedicated to humans and environment. That was really sad because the 2nd How to Train your Dragon movie had by far the highest quantity of different types of dragons in it, yet hardly any were featured in the book.
This "Hidden World" book, like the movie, is focused more on just a few dragons and the love story relationship between Toothless and Lightfury along with Hiccup and Astrid. The environment is breathtaking and this book has a few of the behind the scenes ideas you don't get to see in the movie. I love the pages dedicated to the baby Nightfury/Lightfury dragons (the "Night Lights" are so preciously drawn). - This book is jawdropping, amazing and indescribable. Ive included 4 photos of the front and back cover as well as one of the inside covering and an example of one of the pages but this book is just simply stunning in person. Lots of the people who worked on these movies fill in the pages with explanations of how decisions were made about design and how they worked on aging characters etc. There’s even a foldout page of the hidden world that I love.
- This is the kind of book you want to get if you want an insight into how this movie was made and a little backstory with how these characters came to life. Everything about it is just gorgeous, and the details they put in here are not only fun to read about but they take you in and never let go. Highly recommended book and you will not regret your decision. D
- Absolutely love this book! It’s breathtakingly beautiful inside and out and a wonderful piece to add to my small collection. Any fan of the How To Train Your Dragon trilogy will love this book for all ages! I won’t post any pictures of the pages to avoid spoilers ) I put the book near my 10inch Toothless for comparison, but yeah you will not regret buying!
- A good variety of artwork but doesn't have the depth of some of the other books and doesn't have the variety and depth of the last two in the series.
- My local store sold out of this and I honestly couldn't wait for it to come back, if at all. The art book is wonderful, absolutely amazing with some really great concepts and character art. If you love HTTYD and the Hidden World, this is a must have!!
- Lot of good material.
- I loved the movie and the book. The talks about the new movie as well as talking about taking a trip down memory lane.
