We had a cabin on a lake that was home to a family of Trumpeter swans and looked forward to their return each year. Over the past 30 years we have been fascinated by their behavior. Michael Quetting's story helped me to understand some of the swan behaviors we had seen on our lake and wonder if we had our own Nemo, Glorio, Nils, Midden, Freddie and "Rambo"."

- The book held promise to be an interesting story, but the language was off putting to me. It would have been easy for the author to use any other word to describe the excretement of the geese.
