"Otto learns about palindromes by having a backwards day in Backwards World. He's on the chase looking for his stolen birthday presents and while he learns something educational he also learns that there is something more important on birthdays than the gifts. Otto Backwards Day TOON Level 3 Easytoread Comics Level 3 Jay Lynch Frank Cammuso Books Reviews

  • "Otto's Backwards Day" is a fabulous follow-up to "Otto's Orange Day". This is another smartly written, beautifully illustrated addition to the rapidly expanding easy-to-read comics from Toon Books. In this latest adventure Otto is transported to Backwards World by Professor Backwards to recover his stolen birthday. There Otto encounters some memorable characters and tricky situations but Otto comes up with a clever solution to return to home sweet home just in time for his birthday. My elementary school students, besides reading an exciting and frequently funny story, will become familiar with palindromes, geometric shapes and a lesson that family and friends are far more important than cake, balloons, and presents. Frank Cammuso, Jay Lynch - bravo!
  • I love that these books are well written and intellectual while also being fun enough to complete for my son's attention.
  • Ott's Backward's Day is a cute, funny graphic story for the younger crowd, perhaps ages 6-9. The style of illustrations and facial expressions are reminiscent of old Donald Duck comics. Otto is rather greedy, waiting for his birthday just for the presents, not the party he will share with family and friends. When all of his presents are stolen, the crooks escape into a palindrome machine where everything is backwards. Otto must follow them with his sidekick, Toot the Robot. The action is non-stop. This should be a major crowd-pleaser.
  • Otto learns about palindromes by having a backwards day in Backwards World. He's on the chase looking for his stolen birthday presents and while he learns something educational he also learns that there is something more important on birthdays than the gifts. A fun story, and just what readers of Otto's Orange Day would expect.
