• I had been looking for something on Bitcoin with a more balanced approach. It seems that most things I read either hate Bitcoin or love Bitcoin. The author of this book, Allan Stevo, goes over pros and cons. He seems to place more value on the technology itself than on Bitcoin.
  
  I am an opponent of central banking and therefore have sympathies towards Bitcoin and those who advocate it. At the same time, I am not sure about its long-term sustainability. In the long run, I think we may see some kind of gold-backed digital currency that becomes popular.
  
  The author makes a statement near the beginning of the book that Walmart did not become great because of marches on Neiman Marcus. By the same token, he says the Federal Reserve will not fall from protest marches. I believe there is something to this. While it is important to educate people about the harm that the Fed does, you can’t replace something with nothing. That is why it is important to have competing currencies, or at least things that can potentially compete in the future. I think Bitcoin can be educational in this sense, as it gives people an idea that there can be alternatives to our current system.
  
  While the author has many positive things to say about Bitcoin, it is not all cheerleading. He acknowledges that the U.S. dollar is still the world’s most important digital currency. He says that Bitcoin makes a bad currency. He also understands that Bitcoin is a highly speculative investment. Still, he sees opportunities for those willing to innovate in the concept that is Bitcoin and digital currencies.
  
  You should probably have a very basic knowledge of Bitcoin before reading this book, but the good news is that there is no excessive techie talk. If you are looking for the techie side of things that gets into the intricate details of Bitcoin and crypto currencies, then this may not be for you. But I appreciated the fact that I didn’t need to speak a second language (tech speak) in order to understand the book.
  
  The author’s advocacy of the free market really comes out in the second half of the book, which I really appreciated.
• The Bitcoin Manifesto is a book that keeps you interested from start to finish. If you are searching to learn more about Bitcoin take a look at this book, filled with deep, intellectual dialectic. The author takes your mind to a truly deeper level of understanding Bitcoin and the marketplace surrounding it. If you don't know much about cryptocurrency begin here and you won't be disappointed. This book will give you ideas every entrepreneur can learn from no matter your area of expertise. The perfect example of Darwinism is what technology has done to business and now currency.
• This is an incredible book about Bitcoin and its relevance in today's financial system.
  It provides an insightful assessment of politics, financial institutions, and the economy. The completion of this read affords knowledge and understanding of cryptocurrency and what it offers for our future.
  Bitcoin is a brilliant innovation that possesses the avenue which allows for passion and growth in a world with more possibilities and opportunities.
  For the betterment of society as a whole, we should dedicate ourselves to encouraging others to participate in the Bitcoin discussion and network participation.
  Mr. Stevo has written a very informative book in such a creative way, you won't want to put it down!
• Allan Stevo’s Bitcoin Manifesto is on the border between the script for a high-octane Wall St. movie and a meditation guided by a guru who majored in business. It’s also a sales pitch, playing the whole field from slow soft sell (just look at Google!) all the way to insistence on acting NOW every couple dozen of pages.
  The short (200 pages, generously spaced lines) book won’t bore you with technical details, and doesn’t explain how to set up a bitcoin farm either. It doesn’t tell you how to get rich fast. In fact it’s not kind to bitcoin at all, nor the people who would want to paint it as a no-downsides proposition.
  The author readily admits that “Bitcoin is a crap currency and a bad investment in a world of terrific investments built on a protocol that will come to change the world.” Stevo keenly observes that bitcoin is something of a laughing stock to the average consumer. Those with more pity merely see it as useless; do you know of a store near you that takes bitcoin? Can you pay rent with it? Stevo argues that no amount of advertising can fix this issue, and he’s right. Unless bitcoin becomes useful, it’s just a toy for tech people in the know, like magnets were to ancient Greeks. What bitcoin needs is for someone to invent the compass.
  This book doesn’t celebrate what bitcoin is, nor what it could be. The book is not indicative; it’s imperative. It’s a wake-up call for the reader to do something with this new tech, and be involved at the ground level, coincidentally making the world a better place at the same time. It’s hard to say which of the two goals the book was written more in mind with.
  The book briefly touches on controversies such as crime using bitcoins or environmental impact, dismissing them with arguments of varied quality. In the long run the book’s total sum of pros and cons is slanted firmly in favor of bitcoin.
• This is a great book full of useful info for both Bitcoin newbies and experts. I appreciated that it was easy to understand and presented a balanced view of Bitcoin, talking about both the pros and cons. For example Stevo criticizes the use of Bitcoin as a get rich scheme, but also offers some great tips on how to use Bitcoin effectively and wisely for future investments. He does a great job contextualizing Bitcoin within recent politics, especially in the chapter entitled "The Unbanked" where he talks about how Bitcoin could help to change the world of finance in near future by serving people who are until now unable to participate in the global economy. All in all it was a good read, well-worth your time and money (or cryptocurrency)!
